Nur mal ne kurze Frage. Gibt es Carbonsäuren deren Gase brennbar sind?
Ist ein kristalliner weißer Feststoff, der sehr unangenehm riecht. Und einen Schmelzpunkt von ca. 67°C hat (+/- 3°C)

Eig. auf den letzten, aber wenn er nicht dasteht und er nur im kopf rumschwirrt^^
wir schwanken zwischen carbonsäure und phenol, aber nach dem geruch her würde ich es halt ausschließen, weils eben nicht carbonsäureartig riecht. aber da carbonsäuregase auch brennbar sind sind die wohl wieder mit im rennen.

Allein Essigsäure ist brennbar.... Es heißt natürlich nicht, dass sie leichtentzündlich ist, aber ab einer bestimmten Temperatur sind viele organische Substanzen "brennbar"...
Es wäre sicherlich hilfreich, wenn du dein Problem ein wenig genauer erläuterst. Die Daten bezüglich Schmelzpunkt sollten sich recht fix nachschauen lassen, auch wenn man dann aus einer Liste einiger hundert gelisteter Stoffe den richtigen finden muss

@ Cyan: deswegen habe ich doch nach dem Problem gefragt... Ohne die Hintergründe kann man nicht einschätzen welchen Methoden zur Verfügung stehen und welche hier am sinnvollsten ist

Mir ist das auch klar, dass dran schnüffeln und rumzündeln nie reicht. Hatten keine Zeit mehr um weitere Nachweise zu machen! Nur ne grobe Richtung. Ich hätte Carbonsäuren halt nur schon gerne ausgeschlossen um ner derivatisierung aus dem weg zu gehen
Natrium-Aufschluß war komplett negativ.
Löslichkeit: Wasser, Hexan, HCl (nein)
Ether, NaOH, Ethanol, H2SO4 (ja)
NaHCO3 Lsg heftige reaktion
ph 3-4

Also doch organische Analyse...
"aus dem Weg zu gehen"... Das ist nicht der richtige Ansatz.
EDIT: Da kann man auch im ersten Post gleich sagen, was Sache ist und sagen, dass es sich um eine Analyse im Praktikum handelt - wo ist das Problem? Aber um die Ecke herumfragen und auf nachfragen nicht mal das Problem erläutern geht schon wieder in ne unschöne Richtung, da wir hier nicht sind um Leute durch ihre Praktika fernzuschleusen... Für solche "Fragen" dann bitte hier hin.
Also, dann erzähl uns um was es geht, in welchem Rahmen sich das Ganze bewegt und wie du gedenkst weiter vorzugehen, das sollte eine Gute Diskussionsgrundlage sein.
