Er wird natürlich mit UV angeregt auf dem Bild... Das ist die Variant für Faule von diesem Farbstoff da man kein Benzaldehyd destillieren braucht Spaß bei Seite. Durch Reaktion des Pyryliumsalzes mit 4-Aminophenol gelangt man zu Strukturen die Grundlage für den Reichardts-Dye sind. Da das Diphenylaminophenol ein recht aufwändiger Baustein ist lohnt es sich, die Sachen erstmal mit Aminophenol selbst zu testen. Plan war es, dass man durch Einsatz des Anthracenyl-Restes das Molekül fluoreszent macht und durch seine Solvatochromie auch eine Solvatofluoreszenz erzeugen kann. Prinzipiell scheint das schon halbwegs zu klappen, Das Produkt ist solvatochrom und man erkennt auch dass sich die Fluoreszenzfarbe immer etwas ändert, aber alles in allem ist das im ersten Versuch nicht so zufriedenstellend. Der Effekt ist halt recht gering, die Farben sehen alle eher matschig aus auch wenn er recht hell fluoresziert. Außerdem zeigt sich die Solvatochromie geringer als beim Reichardtsfarbsoff ohne die beiden Phenylgruppen, was an der eingeschränkten Rotation der Anthracenylgruppe liegen kann.

Hm, danke für die Tipps! Das werde ich demnächst mal ausprobieren. Der Blitz klingt nach einer guten Idee: Das macht immer einen großen Unterschied - und ich fotographiere fast immer ohne.
Ich habe noch ein paar recht schöne Schnappschüsse gefunden:
Silberschiffchen für die Elementaranalyse. (Da war ich bei einem Praktikum.)
Salicylsäurekristalle.
Phthalsäure (hergestellt aus Vinylhandschuhen). Leider eher aus der Lösung gecrasht als in schönen großen Kristallen - die Lösung war übersättigt und die Phthalsäure ist dann ratz-fatz ausgefallen. Naja.

Dunkel wie ein schwarzes Loch. Sieht echt genial aus. Wow! Mal sehen, ich kann mir bestimmt auch so was basteln, das wäre ein cooles Nebenprojekt.

Natriumacetat-Trihydrat. Ziemlich hartnäckig, wenn man vernünftige Kristalle will. Mir ist noch immer schleierhaft, wie der 1,7-Zentimeter-Kolloss auf Wikipedia gezüchtet wurde...

Es ist eine bedeutende und allgemein verbreitete Tatsache, dass Dinge nicht immer das sind, was sie zu sein scheinen.
Insbesondere durch das Objektiv (Makro) und den Ringblitz wird der Hintergrund fast unsichtbar. Leider funktioniert das das farbigen Kristallen (mit einem weißen Hintergrund) nicht so gut, da die Kristalle dann auch von hinten beleuchtet werden. Ich glaube das man da braucht wäre ein eine Uhrglasschale die das Licht vom Objekt wegstreut. Allerdings habe ich das bisher noch nicht verwirklicht und daher muss lemmi noch auf ein paar Fotos warten ^^°

Sollte sich dafür nicht auch die Dunkelfeldfotografie eignen?
Man muss fairerweise dazu sagen, dass die Dunkelfeldröhre jetzt ziemlich improvisiert war und verbesserungsfähig ist. Grundsätzlich ist das nicht verkehrt, aber vom ersten Test her finde ich das nicht unbedingt so überragend.

Die Bilder sind auch nicht ganz gleich bearbeitet aber mit dem Normalen Setup sehe ich feinere Details, wobei im Dunkelfeld die Kanten natürlich viel besser zu sehen... Ich denke mit einem etwas besserem Setup könnte man da auch viel bessere Ergebnisse erzielen. Man kann aber durchaus erahnen, dass gewisse Kratzer im Dunkelfeld deutlich sichtbarer sind, also das ist schon nicht soo uncool.

Kristalle werden irgendwie immer dann am besten, wenn man die Lösung für ein paar Monate irgendwo vergessen hat.
