Herstellung von Bor
Geräte: Feuerzeug, Fliese, Glasstab, Erlenmeyerkolben 100 ml, Filtrationsapparatur Chemikalien: Magnesiumband Magnesiumpulver (F) 
Borsäure (T) 
Salzsäure 37% (C) 
Wasser Durchführung: Im Abzug oder im Freien arbeiten! 1 g Borsäure und 2 g Magnesiumpulver werden vermischt und auf der Fliese aufgehäuft. In den Haufen wird ein Stück Magnesiumband gesteckt und angezündet. Nach dem Abkühlen wird das Pulver in Salzsäure gegeben, 10 Minuten lang gekocht, gründlich mit Wasser nachgewaschen und getrocknet. Entsorgung: Reste gibt man zu den anorganischen Abfällen. Erklärung: Das Magnesium reduziert die Borsäure: 3 Mg + 2 H3BO3 ---> 2 B + 3 MgO + 3 H2O Bilder:

Naja...so lässt sich dann aber nur schwer Strontium gewinnen.  Aber der Versuch hier ist auch schon beeindruckend.

Mach es in ner ruhigen Minute wenn sie nicht hingucken...mein Ansatz ist in etwa 3 sec. (!) vollständig abgebrannt.

Ist das wichtig? Bei solch banalen Sachen berechne ich die Ausbeute doch nicht... Ich muss das Produkt sowieso noch reinigen; Magnesiumreste, Borsäurereste und Magnesiumoxid sind weg, nun muss ein weißer Rückstand (Magnesiumborid?) noch entfernt werden.
